MLA '03: Catch the Wave

The Collection Development Section is co-sponsoring eight program sessions at MLA in San Diego that reflect the theme "Catch the Wave".

Invited Speakers:

Two programs will feature invited speakers:

"Navigating the Rapids of Rehabilitation Resources" will be a panel program held on Tuesday May 6 from 3:00 - 4:30 pm.

"Equitable Access to Essential Information for Health: WHO's HINARI Partnership" will feature a series of speakers, also on Tuesday May 6 from 3:00 – 4:30 pm.

Contributed Papers:

Six program sessions will feature contributed papers:

"Swimming in the Sea of Electronic Resources: Meeting the Challenges" will feature 10 papers over the course of two days. The first session will be on Monday May 5 from 3:30 to 5:00 pm, and the second session will be on Tuesday May 6 from 3:00 – 4:30 pm.

"Building Castles in the Shifting Sand: Sculpting Partnerships and Alliances to Withstand the Incoming Tide" will also span two program sessions, the first on Sunday May 4 from 4:00 – 5:30 pm, and the second on Monday May 5 from 3:30 – 5:00 pm.

"Shoot the Pipeline with Evidence-Based Librarians: Original Research and Practical Methods" will be held on Monday May 5 from 3:30 – 5:00 pm

"Library Content for Portable Hand-held (PDA) Devices" will be on Tuesday May 6 from 3:00 – 4:30 pm.
